A big challenge for futuristic sound effects design was obviously getting stuck into all kinds of synthesis and creating source material for our sound creation later on. We used both hardware and software synths and spent a lot of time on our ever-growing modular synth to create cutting edge sounds. We also spent a lot of time recording organic material like metal scrapes, drum impacts, make-shift instruments etc. to be able to put that through a synthesis and processing chain again. In that way we struck a very good balance between organic and synthetic material.What's so special about this library?NEON stands out in futuristic sound effects as it lies somewhere between the standard Construction Kit and Designed approach. It certainly has construction kit character, on the one hand it can be used to sweeten up your sounds and to provide additional and different character to existing sound creations, with enough dynamics left to process it to individual requirements.
