Once the candle reaches the halfway point, the increased warmth from the brass and internal airflow naturally melts the remaining wax, creating a full edge-to-edge melt pool for the rest of the burn. [Please always burn your candle on a heat-resistant surface and allow the holder to cool before handling.] You may occasionally notice a green hue develop in your candles. Don’t worry, it’s a completely natural part of using brass. While our holders are lacquered on the inside to help reduce direct contact, brass is a living material that responds to its environment. Exposure to air, moisture, and even time alone can encourage the development of a soft green hue, especially when paired with rich, complex fragrance blends. This gentle patina is part of brass’s charm—it doesn’t affect the burn, scent, or quality of your candle.
