Leather Care: Moisturize With time and handling, leather can lose moisture and oils, leading to dryness, flaking, and wrinkling. To keep the leather supple, it should be moisturized regularly. Dip an application sponge or a soft cloth into the balsam and rub it gently over the bag. If the leather doesn’t absorb it all, wipe off the excess with a clean cloth.
