Additionally, the constant f/2.8 aperture allows consistent performance even in the full zoom range. Our Take on the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens for Nikon F: The Ultrasonic Silent Drive (USD) autofocus motor outputs quick and quiet autofocus. The USD even allows full-time manual focus override. Additionally, the TAP-in Console compatibility allows fine-tuning and intuitive focusing adjustments. It can even be used for firmware updates. The eBAND and BBAR Coating suppresses flare and ghosting and renders higher contrast and color fidelity in strong lighting conditions and harsh climates. Further, the design comes with two XR, three low dispersion, and three glass-molded aspherical elements that reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations and limit distortion. Additionally, the VC image stabilization minimizes camera shake up to 5 stops for crisp handheld shooting. There are three VC modes to select from as per stability requirements.
