The Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 is a Nikon Z-mount zoom lens with an updated optical design, a refined focusing system, and a versatile wide-to-portrait-length range with a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture. The focusing mechanism has been replaced with a VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) mechanism that achieves faster, more precise performance to suit both stills and video applications. Revamped optics yield higher resolution and improved sharpness over the previous generation. This updated version, which is the second generation of this well-liked lens, also features improvements to the lens's exterior design, a closer minimum focusing distance of 7.1"", and a new connector port that makes it easier to use Tamron Lens Utility software to adjust lens settings.
